The owner of this new childcare facility faced many challenges after signing the lease for the new space. In order to attain the necessary state certifications to run a childcare business, they needed to create a 2-hour separation from the office spaces next to, and above the space. This required additional structural support for the
ceiling above to carry the extra weight of the three layers of drywall. Other requirements included adding fire sprinklers and fire alarms to
the building where they had not previously existed. DP Inc worked closely with the Architect and Owner to manage the project on a limited budget.
