In order to attain the necessary state certifications to run a childcare business, this client needed to create a 2-hour separation from the office spaces next to, and above their space. This required additional structural support for the ceiling above to carry the extra weight of the three layers of drywall. Other requirements included adding fire sprinklers and fire alarms to the building where they had not previously existed. DP Incorporated worked closely with the Architect and Owner to manage the project on a limited budget.
